 Junior Associate, Bethesda MD


We are looking to hire a law clerk or entry level Associate to join our Bethesda MD office for a part-time position that may lead to full time as work flow increases.  The applicant must be able to speak and write Spanish, Mandarin, or Amharic.  Applicant must be flexible and willing to travel to our Bethesda MD offices for client meetings.  Requires successful candidate to bring immigration business into the firm and to continue to pursue market for new business. Recent law school graduates preferred.  Duties include -



  • Researching and drafting motions

  • Researching case law and USCIS memos for complex legal issues arising out of family, employment, and investment based immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions

  • Interviewing clients and drafting client affidavits

  • Preparing immigration forms and petitions

  • Strong professional client management skills

  • Ability to work well independently – highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects – but also an excellent “team player”

  • The successful candidates should have strong research skills, be able to multi-task, and be detail-oriented.  The candidate should also be a self-starter and take initiative on assigned projects.



  • Writing blog posts and law firm newsletters every month

  • Posting articles and regular updates on Facebook and Twitter pages



  • Attending events on behalf of the law firm

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with prospective clients

  • Strong understanding of different cultures and participation in cultural activities of ethnic communities
